Pet Parade for Amature Photographers

As promised we are posting a few of our amateur photographer's favorite pictures of their own pets.  We have a few guest entrants this time so please take the time to check them out and leave comments.  We will hopefully have another pet parade perhaps once or twice a year for those of you who missed getting yours in this time.
Using a camera, whether an expensive manual one with all the gadgets or a simple snapshot or phone camera, we can all enjoy capturing the sights in our lives that inspire, awe, tickle our funny bone, create thought proving feelings or add to our creativeness and allow us the opportunity to share those experiences with other's.
Thank you all for joining in our Pet Parade 2013.

Peekin Atcha puzzle

Ruday used a picture of a Cats eyes to create this cool picture.  The Corel-Photo Paint 8 program was used to develope the unusual puzzle picture.  I think this would make a cool poster.

In the next 3 photos, Camera Shy used a fade technique to present a soft border.

Be ready to send in more pictures soon.  Looking for some winter fun and winter wonderland photos for the next few weeks.  Any late pictures you want to send in for pet parade can be used soon if there are enough to make a good post.  If not, we will hold them and use them later unless they are part of a group of other pictures you would like to enter for your own feature post.  Come on, jump in and join the photography fun!

Sunbeams and Spotlights

Sunbeams and spotlight are just part of the suns purpose in this segment.  Pikes Peak, just outside of Colorado Springs, Colorado, always makes a great backdrop for photos and lends to wonderful light experiences in all kinds of weather.  Here we are in the middle of a long cold winter and yet the sunbeams seem to hold promises similar to rainbows that good things are on the way.  Just like a lighthouse on the shores of the oceans, sometimes the sun seems to be offering a light for direction.  Where we live, the mountain range and Pikes Peak are a clear indication of west, so even when we get lost in the area in the many winding neighborhoods all we have to do is look for Pikes Peak to get our directions straight.  No need for a compass here.

Cheyenne Mountain Antenae Terrace
Yes, that's right.  Even though we are in a beautiful mountainous area, Commerce and the military still need communications.  Cheyenne Mountain has become a focal antenae spot for the far reaching signals needed.

More Pet Photos wanted for our upcoming Amateur Photographer's Favorite Pet Friends.  Please send them in soon, even if you aren't interested in becoming a regular photo entrant.  This is your chance to show off your pooches, kittys, bunnies, birdies, turtles, etc. etc.

Please read the instructions at the upper right sidebar on this page and send pictures to the email listed.  Don't forget to provide an 'alias' for the person entering the photo or photos.

Looking forward to having you join our photography page.

We would all love to hear from you And to view your special moments in and around your home or travels.  Each person and amateur photographer will have a unique experience and view the world in their own way.  Even the way you frame you pictures, whether up close or distant, from above or below or around and includiing the focus, or lighting in the morning or evening.  Each different idea you have and technique you use will ultimately make or break a photo.  Don't be afraid to experiment and just have loads of fun.
Join in the fun and don't forget to say hi and leave comments about any pictures you enjoy.  Read the sidebar at the upper right of this page for directions on how to become a participating amateur photographer on this blog that is meant for you!
